What has seven floors and over a mile of linear lighting? Northeastern University's EXP building! Lumos Architectural Lighting's RM42 and RPM custom curved linear products have brought an extraordinary concept to life. A huge shoutout to our dedicated lighting agency Illuminate, the architectural firm Payette, the lighting design by Jake Wayne at Arup, and the exceptional teams at McDonald Electrical Corp, Independent Electric Supply, and Suffolk Construction. We couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome of this project, and the seamless collaboration from start to finish. Effective communication and precise site coordination were key to bringing light into this incredible space. Our Suffolk Northeast team had the privilege of building Foundation Medicine’s new headquarters at 400 Summer Street in Boston's Seaport District. This vibrant vertical campus, totaling 600,000 square feet, brings the organization’s scientists and administrative teams together under one roof for a greater sense of connection. Occupying the entire laboratory and office section of the new 16-story building, our interior build-out features a lobby lounge, reception area, conference center, labs and accompanying workspaces, innovation space and amenities. Our design partners at Gensler created the lab-focused floors with lab space at the building’s core and workplace neighborhoods at the perimeter, supporting business functionality while promoting engagement with the company’s work, culture and mission. The outdoor roof terrace adds to the overall employee experience. Thank you to JLL, Gensler, Bala Consulting Engineers, and WS Development for their partnership on this interior build-out, and congratulations to Foundation Medicine on its beautiful new headquarters.
