The Illinois Pork Producers Association (IPPA) is an agricultural trade association representing more than 1,600 pork producers throughout Illinois. IPPA is comprised of county pork producer organizations in more than 20 counties throughout Illinois. IPPA is an affiliate of the National Pork Producers Council and the National Pork Board. IPPA provides producers with services that enhance profitability and preference for pork.
IPPA has served pork producers for more than 50 years. IPPA is governed by a 21-member board of directors who are all affiliated with the pork industry. Pork producers serve on a variety of committees that plan IPPA activities throughout the year. Producer delegates set policy and give direction to programs at IPPA’s annual meeting.

Mental Health First Aid Training was a success! Thank you to all the participants, SIU School of Medicine, and Farm Credit for hosting us. The Farm Family Resource Initiative Helpline is a confidential service available 24/7 to all Illinois farm families. By calling or texting 1-833-FARMSOS (1-833-327-6767) or emailing [email protected], individuals can receive support from trained professionals who understand the unique challenges faced by those in the agricultural sector. The helpline offers specialized assistance, including mental health resources and agriculture-related support, ensuring that farm families have access to the help they need. In addition to the helpline, the FFRI provides telehealth counseling services with SIU Medicine counselors, offering up to six free sessions for individuals, couples, or groups. This comprehensive approach ensures that farm families receive the necessary support to maintain both their mental and physical health, acknowledging the unique stressors of the agricultural lifestyle. https://lnkd.in/dpAznZgz
