Thank you to everyone who joined us at our 25th Anniversary Celebration last week. We’re thrilled to announce that we raised more than $270,000 for our 25th Anniversary Campaign, exceeding our goal! At the event, we honored three dynamic leaders who have increased access to our civil justice system: Dorothy G. Capers; Elgie Sims Jr. & Jehan Gordon Booth. At our 25th Anniversary Celebration, we paid tribute to the force behind the IEJF, our Executive Director Leslie Corbett. As a result of Leslie's leadership over the past 20 years, the IEJF has grown from a one-person organization overseeing a half-million dollar appropriation to a team distributing more than $14 Million in annual civil legal aid funding. In 2022, the IEJF partnered with Kristin Faust and the IL Housing Development Authority to develop the Illinois Homeowner Emergency Assistance Program and helped more than 25,700 households save their homes during the pandemic. #IEJF25
