The first of six scheduled blasts over the next three months will use explosives to sever steel and remove girders from the bridge's east side—paving the way for the complete removal of the structure. Week 1 of the Kennedy rehabilitation project is complete, and significant progress has been made on the I-90/94 project from Edens Junction to Ohio Street. Key updates include: ??Reversible lanes are OUTBOUND until mid-July. ??No express lane exits until Edens/Foster. ??Traffic control is in place from Ohio to Montrose. ??Concrete repairs and bridge deck demolition begin this week. Since 1983, NFBPA has been dedicated to advancing Black leadership in local and state governments, developing impactful leadership initiatives, and representing public leaders across Illinois.
