The day after Thanksgiving is nicknamed “Brown Friday” due to it being the busiest day of the year for plumbers. Help avoid having issues with your pipes when you have family over by following these tips: Don’t pour grease, oils, and/or fats down the drain. Watch our video: https://lnkd.in/gKsfQtJu

City of Lincoln elected officials and stakeholders toured the new Illinois American Water water treatment plant on Nov. 14. The company has transitioned to a new 5.0-million-gallon-a-day water treatment plant. The Broadwell Water Treatment Plant replaces the South Water Treatment Plant, which was outdated and flood prone. The new water treatment plant features a deeper intake, pulling water from the Mahomet Teays Valley Aquifer at a lower level, making it more resistant to drought risk. It also has new electrical and security systems for added protection to the plant during an emergency.?Ongoing tests confirm the water in the Lincoln District is safe and meets all quality standards. City of Lincoln elected officials and community stakeholders toured the new Broadwell Water Treatment Plant on Thursday evening, November 14. The new water treatment plant provides quality drinking water to our customers in the Lincoln District. The new water treatment plant replaced the South Water Treatment Plant, which was outdated, flood prone and had significant site-access issues. The water source for the new plant remains the same -- the Mohomet Teays Valley Aquifer. Vissering Construction Company was the contractor on this infrastructure improvement. The new plant has ability to produce an estimated 5 million gallon of water per day. Features include a deeper water intake that pulls raw water into the facility at lower levels than the previous plant, which makes it more resistant to drought risk. New electrical and security systems add redundancy and protection to the plant during emergencies. We Keep Water Flowing in Lincoln, IL.
