Improving outcomes within our public service systems must start with greater community partnership, done in a manner which activates the strengths within impacted communities for transformative solutions to the needs they identify and toward the equitable futures each deserves. IJOC is equally excited for the use of the SPEAR Assessment tool in supporting agencies to identify their tendency for community engagement. #JustOutcomes

Our IJOC team enjoyed a great time sharing the pilot offering our “Navigating Your Now with CWH” last week, graciously hosted by the wonderful folks at Zingerman’s Mail Order.?This program uses experiential learning to share the tools found within our Conversations Worth Having curriculum.?The ZMO folks shared fantastic insight on the importance of tuning in and asking generative questions, recognizing the way these two elements cultivated an ability for positive framing.?So grateful for their role as thought partners as we work toward sharing these tools with teams of teachers, counselors, child welfare and juvenile justice staff, etc. – with the ultimate goal of their sharing it directly with teens and young adults they serve.??Toni Racco Benner Cheri Torres Jackie Stavros Michael Emmart, Ed.D.
