Read the latest: https://lnkd.in/dWmqkKhP A heavier vehicle can provide more protection for those inside, but that benefit plateaus around 4,000 pounds. ?? We have a new rating out for the 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class in our updated moderate overlap test: https://lnkd.in/ew_-AjSu The overall rating of marginal reflects several downgrades. The rear passenger dummy injury values indicate a moderate risk of injury to the head or neck, and the shoulder belt moved too far upward toward the dummy's neck, compromising the effectiveness of the rear restraint system. The rear passenger dummy's lap belt also moved from the ideal position on the pelvis and onto the abdomen, increasing the risk of abdominal injuries.
