Born in Hong Kong and now calling Brooklyn home, Tania brings a unique perspective to design - seeing it as problem-solving with creativity and empathy. Her proudest professional achievement? The Bao furniture collection for HBF - a dream realized through innovative collaboration. Beyond design, Tania is an avid crafter, loves exploring NYC, and balances her passion with family life through a flexible hybrid work schedule. Fun fact: She was in an a cappella group and dreams of time-traveling to 1920s New York or Paris! What an incredible day at our 2nd Annual Student Upliftment Program (SUP)! The energy at Ted Moudis Associates was electric as students and design professionals gathered for an inspiring afternoon. From dynamic networking sessions to the special Matching Ceremony, where future designers were presented with sponsored IIDA memberships and introduced to emerging designers nominated by TMA and Perkins&Will, we witnessed meaningful connections being forged in real time. The annual Catalyst Laptop Grant was awarded to Haruku Utsuki and Alyssa Degenhardt from the New York School of Interior Design. Chapter President Christin Weaver, IIDA, NCIDQ, President-Elect Elisabeth Mejia, and Co-Chair @Lisbeth Jimenez also paid tribute to Rachel Robinson, Principal at Ted Moudis Associates, for her years of friendship and leadership of Design Camp. Our discussion on “Understanding Industry Roles and the Importance of Relationships” was led by Natalie Chalker of WB Wood, with valuable insights from Jamie Berg, Julia Frank (Haworth), and Carol Symchek (Keilhauer), sparking engaging conversations and new perspectives.
