Did you know that #lungcancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States? The American Lung Association recommends annual screenings for those at higher risk. Low-dose computed tomography (CT) screenings help detect lung cancer early, even in patients without symptoms, leading to better outcomes and more treatment options. Butler Memorial Hospital and Clarion Hospital are expanding their lung cancer screening program with enhancements to the Advanced Lung Center (ALC). The Junior Auxiliary program has been designed to supplement and enhance the quality of care provided to patients, #families, visitors, and the #community; as well as to broaden your awareness of various #medicalprofessions. #Students must be entering 10th, 11th, or 12th grade by the fall of 2025 to qualify for this program. There is only one class/session per year. The membership year for 2025 will begin on June 9, 2025, and will conclude on August 15, 2025. The application form and two letters of recommendation must be completed and returned no later than Monday, March 31, 2024.
