On October 23rd, 2024 Rio Bravo Rocklin hosted a group of legislative staff to celebrate the 12th?annual Bioenergy Day. Bioenergy Day is a day to inform and educate any and all people about the important role bioenergy plants play in diversifying renewable power portfolios.? In California, there is an organics crisis and bioenergy plants are a part of the solution for the woody biomass portion. Bioenergy Day is a chance for people to see a working power plant and learn about the benefits we provide to California. The event at Rio Bravo Rocklin included staffers from legislators, including the two from the Governor’s office. With Rio Bravo Rocklin in a scheduled maintenance outage, it was a great opportunity to display what it takes to operate and maintain these facilities.?It allowed our guests to see the labor we provide to many different contractors and suppliers outside of the 28 full time plant employees.? Thank you to the team at Rocklin for hosting the event.?We received great feedback from our visitors, and some want to bring their legislators back for another visit. #Bioenergyday #biomass #energy #power?
