?? Making waves in wastewater management ?? IHC’s Phase 1 Improvements Project at the Freeport Wastewater Treatment Plant is underway! ?? The first of three sections of wall pours was completed at the UV building, with approximately 162 cubic yards of concrete poured yesterday. Phase 1 improvements will include replacement of the water treatment plant’s headworks, the addition of a chemically enhanced primary treatment process that will receive stormwater flow, prevent untreated discharges to the Pecatonica River and raw sewage leaks in maintenance areas, replacement of obsolete laboratory/sampling testing equipment, the elimination of chlorination disinfection byproducts, and the transition to a new UV disinfection for wastewater effluent. Addressing these challenges and making necessary improvements is crucial for maintaining operations of the wastewater treatment plant and ensuring environmental compliance. ?? #IHCConstruction #WaterQuality #SustainableFuture

??? Transforming our future, one drop at a time! ??? Big things are happening at the Batavia Wastewater Treatment Plant! IHC has completed offsite utility work and demolition of several large structures to make way for the proposed construction of several new facilities. Construction has begun on the first of four 68’ diameter primary clarifiers, and work continues at the new Headworks, Primary Clarifier Control and UV Disinfection Buildings. ?? Exciting news on the Glendale Heights Wastewater Treatment Plant! IHC is in the final stages of completing our improvements at the Glendale Heights Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project consisted of revamping the Village’s Biological Process Tanks & Aerobic Digester #1 along with other various improvements. The Biological Process Tank work required the isolation of each respective tank while keeping the remaining 3 in full operation. The existing aeration system was removed, and new aeration piping/pumps/equipment were installed along with FRP baffle walls. The Aerobic Digester work entailed isolating and cleaning the existing tank, installation of new steel partition walls, suspended walkway, as well as new aeration piping/ valves/pumps. ?? Construction Update: Pingree Grove Waste Water Treatment Plant ?? This past month at the Pingree Grove WWTP project, IHC completed the concrete structure on the Sludge Press building. The structure totaled 1,400 cubic yards of concrete and 300,000 pounds of reinforcing. The team also began work on the Preliminary & Primary Treatment Building, pouring the base slab and setting wall forms. The base slab consists of 620 cubic yards of concrete and 93,000 pounds of reinforcing. Thank you for following our journey toward a sustainable wastewater solution. ???? We Made a Splash! ???? What an incredible day for the Norridge Park District and IHC Construction! ?? The ribbon cutting celebrating the park district’s brand-new aquatic center was a huge hit. IHC’s hard work and dedication transformed the park district’s vision into a reality. ??????? The amazing new amenities include a zero-depth pool, a lap pool, a dive pool with a drop slide, a fun splash pad, and plenty of seating in the sun or in the shade. ????
