This month marked the exciting kick-off of the Step-Up projects in Amsterdam! Supported by the Dutch Refugee Council ????, these initiatives aim to enhance the capacity of smaller European organizations, and we're proud that Iguality is one of the selected projects. The kick-off meeting was a fantastic opportunity to connect with other participating organizations: the Greek Forum of Migrants ????, Comissió Catalana d'Ajuda al Refugiat, CCAR ????, The Romanian National Council for Refugees ????, MOSAICO ???? and Regina Maria Social Innovations Foundation ????. We also had the honour of visiting very interesting local NGOs and institutions, like Plan Einstein, BOOST Amsterdam, Centraal Orgaan opvang asielzoekers (COA) and A Beautiful Mess. ?Hola red! ?? Les cuento que hicimos nuestra primera sesión de #arteterapia en Iguality. Organizada por la increíble arteterapeuta Luciana Wachockier estas sesiones forman parte de los servicios de salud mental que ofrece la oenegé a los usuarios. La Arteterapia utiliza diferentes formas de arte como medio para exponer y comprender fenómenos psicológicos como las #emociones, los #pensamientos y los patrones de comportamiento de las personas. A través del uso de diferentes materiales artísticos (desde pinturas y cerámica hasta instrumentos musicales y coreografías) se invita a los participantes a explorar y abordar el malestar psicológico. Lo fundamental es centrarse en el #procesocreativo, no en el resultado ni en su calidad estética. Se trata de conectar con sensaciones, ideas y emociones mientras se elabora la pieza y se experimenta con los materiales y diferentes técnicas. Estas sesiones de arteterapia están orientadas a personas #migrantes y/o #refugiadas, y ofrecen un espacio seguro y confidencial donde abordar temas complejos como el #duelo migratorio y la adaptación a la nueva realidad. ?Lo mejor de todo? ?? ?Es que apenas estamos empezando! Próximamente haremos nuestra sesión de febrero y estamos trabajando para ofrecer esta terapia de forma constante. We are working with their SAPPIR program to exchange knowledge and provide mutual referrals, ensuring that migrants and refugees receive the most effective and comprehensive mental health care support. ?? ??ES??? ?Noticias emocionantes! Estamos muy contentos de anunciar nuestra asociación formalizada con El SAPPIR, un servicio especializado en salud mental en Barcelona, parte de la Fundació Sanitària Sant Pere Claver. ??
