The IGP Institute offers innovative technical programs to enhance the market preference of U.S. grains.

We train professionals both on-site and via distance in the areas of flour milling and grain processing, grain marketing and risk management, and feed manufacturing and grain quality management. In 2020, we trained 1,308 participants from 45 countries in 69 courses and reached an additional 4,171 participants through workshops, research and presentations. Our courses are conducted on-site and on-location including overseas as well as via distance. Several trainings are also offered in Spanish. Our on-site courses have simultaneous translation services available in multiple languages. The IGP Institute mission is to provide technical, research-based training benefiting industry professionals globally and enhancing the market preference for U.S. grains and oilseeds.

This week the IGP Institute partnered with Sorghum Checkoff, Kansas Grain Sorghum Commission, the U.S. Grains Council and Clemson University to provide a short course on Sorghum Feed Manufacturing & Poultry Nutrition. Registration is now open for the January 21-24,2025 KSU-GEAPS Grain Elevator Managers Course! The course focuses on the science behind the practices used in grain management. Course topics include personnel management, grain quality management, grain handling equipment, grain drying, grain operations costs, grain inventory management, grain receiving and shipping, grain condition monitoring, grain aeration strategies, and fumigation.
