Ignite Seattle is the largest open submission public speaking event in the Pacific Northwest. 3 times a year, one of the greatest audiences in the world gathers to hear interesting people tell interesting stories. Each speaker gets 20 slides, for 15 seconds each, to share a passion for 5 minutes – it’s an evening of curated discovery. We take pride in providing every audience with a deep sense of the community + possibility that surrounds us in Seattle in every moment.

WOW! What an incredible event.?Ignite?Seattle?#47 was a SOLD OUT show. We challenged what we thought we knew—about AI, dishwashing, orchids, the ancient abacus, and fear itself. We learned that every story starts with the right question, and how to break a curse. We shed tears together over barbershop confessions and growing around grief. We explored connection without alcohol, and learned Kombucha's hidden powers. And last but not least, we got a preview of what's in store for?Ignite's 20-year anniversary next year! During intermission, the lobby was bustling.?Whether you were grabbing a drink, battling in the dishwasher contest, naming a hot new energy drink, or marveling at the magic of the abacus, we loved seeing the?Ignite?community unite. ?? I’m absolutely floored by the outpouring of support from last night’s show! It was my first time publicly sharing such a deeply personal story, my first big-venue speaking opportunity, and honestly, I had no idea how it would land. Expressing that level of vulnerability on stage was freeing, especially with such an incredible audience. To receive a standing ovation from nearly a thousand attendees was overwhelming, in the best way. I’m still glowing. It was challenging to distill a five-year journey in an ethically fraught and technically complex domain into just five minutes, but it was so worthwhile.
