Murphy Sr. in 1892, AFRO-American Newspapers has been a powerful voice for Black media, advocacy, and storytelling for over a century. Today, Dr. Frances Toni Draper CEO & Publisher, and Savannah G.M. Wood Executive Director of Afro Charities, Inc. continue this legacy, ensuring the AFRO remains a pillar of truth, culture, and progress in Baltimore. #HenryGParksJr was a pioneering entrepreneur who founded the Parks Sausage Company in 1951. He built it into a multi-million dollar enterprise, making it one of the first Black-owned businesses to go public in 1969. Visit Baltimore Museum of Industry to explore the Henry G.
