Last week, SPE Student Chapter Leoben, organized a technical field trip to Türkiye for students from Montanuniversit?t Leoben, led by Prof. Keita Yoshioka. The trip, hosted in collaboration with HD Energy Solutions, provided invaluable insights into geothermal energy operations, research, and industry applications. During the visit, our members explored geothermal power plants in Ala?ehir and K?z?ldere, engaged in discussions with experts at Izmir Institute of Technology, and gained insights into hydrogen energy solutions from ignis H2 Energy Inc., with special thanks to Cannur Bozkurt and Harun YARIM for their time. The students also took time to explore the cultural heritage of Türkiye, visiting Sardis, Pamukkale, and Ephesos. A highlight of the trip was the opportunity to exchange knowledge with ?zmir Katip ?elebi University - SPE Student Chapter, who also hosted a fantastic evening event for our group. It was great to connect with the current president Betül ?nce and her team. A huge thank you to HD Energy Solutions and their team, including Ali CEREN, Beril DEM?RKAN, Alpay Tarhan, Zeynep Ate?, and others, for their warm hospitality and expertise.
