Recycling should be the last resort. On this Global Recycling Day, we want to highlight what we think should be the real third R: Reduce, Reuse, Repair. ?? More than half of the material that enters the recycling process isn't recovered. ?? The recycling process is energy-intensive. ?? Today is World Consumer Rights Day! ????? A day that reminds us how important transparent information, sustainable products and fair conditions are for consumers. ???? Since 1983, World Consumer Day has been celebrated every year on 15 March to draw attention to consumer rights such as safety, information and freedom of choice. Originally formulated by US President John F. Kennedy in 1962, these rights were expanded by the United Nations to include environmental and educational aspects. In the electronics industry, this means: quality, durability and innovative technologies that are efficient and resource-saving. ???? But all too often, devices end up in the bin because they are too expensive or simply impossible to repair. ???? ‘Right to Repair’ is committed to repairability, available spare parts and clear instructions - so that products can be used for longer. This conserves resources, reduces waste and strengthens the local economy. An important step towards a circular economy! ???? ??
