Last week, iFAB's Regional Innovation Officer, Beth Conerty, traveled to San Francisco to speak on behalf of iFAB at the Future of Food Tech Conference! In addition to a fireside chat about biomanufacturing hubs with David Block from iCAMP, highlights also included the Kraft Heinz breakout session, "Scaling Precision Fermentation to Enable Future Ingredient Supply Chain." Other participants in the Kraft Heinz breakout session included Kate Toews from McKinsey & Company, Eva Borge from Cauldron Ferm, and Maxine Roman, Ph.D. from Kraft Heinz. Thank you to Future Food-Tech for bringing together such a talented group of industry leaders and decision-makers!?

Tech hubs like iFAB are founded on the very idea that collaboration is key! We're all part of an ecosystem, as ADM's Allyson Fish noted during her fireside chat with iFAB's Regional Innovation Officer Beth Conerty during last week's 10th Annual AgTech Summit. We're grateful to have participated in the 6th Annual Champaign-Urbana AgTech Week! In addition to fermentation workshops and pilot plant tours with the Integrated Bioprocessing Research Laboratory, there were also opportunities throughout the week—particularly during the 10th Annual AgTech Summit—to engage with industry leaders and hear their exciting insights about what's next for our region. Thank you again to the University of Illinois Research Park, Champaign County EDC, and Make It Champaign-Urbana for hosting another successful AgTech Week. We're already looking forward to next year!
