We encourage you to read the October TCAS-II paper highlight, "A Single-Switch 3.1–4.7 GHz 194.52-dB FoM Class-D VCO With 495μW Power Consumption". ?? Authored by: Xuyang Liu; Behnam Moradi; Hamidreza Aghasi This brief presents an ultra-low-power class-D voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) designed for GHz applications that mandate decent phase noise performance. A waveform-centric approach of phase noise reduction by controlling the ratio between the floating and single-ended (SE) capacitors in an oscillator tank is proposed. ?? We encourage you to read the September TCAS-II paper highlight, "Inner Transfer Functions in Incremental ΔΣ ADCs". ?? Authored by: Paul Kaesser; Johannes Wagner; Omar Ismail; Maurits Ortmanns In this brief the transfer functions from inner nodes of incremental Delta-Sigma (I-DS) analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) are analyzed. Such transfer functions are needed in order to predict the attenuation of error sources like noise and distortion from within the loopfilter (LF). ?? We encourage you to read the August TCAS-II paper highlight, "Origin of Frequency-Dependent Distortion and Calibration for Ring Oscillator VCO ADCs". ?? Authored by: Brendan Saux; Jonas Borgmans; Johan Raman; Pieter Rombouts This brief identifies the cause of frequency-dependent distortion in ring oscillator voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). First, a VCO model is presented which takes into account the capacitance at the VCO terminals. This allows the most common drive configurations to be analyzed to determine the origin of the frequency-dependent distortion and the vulnerability of the different drive configurations. ?? We encourage you to read the July TCAS-II paper highlight, "A 28nm 8Kb Reconfigurable SRAM Computing-In-Memory Macro With Input-Sparsity Optimized DTC for Multi-Mode MAC Operations". ?? Authored by: Kanglin Xiao; Xin Qiao; Xiaoxin Cui; Jiahao Song; Haoyang Luo; Xin’an Wang; Yuan Wang Computing-in-memory (CIM) is an emerging approach for alleviating von Neumann bottleneck and improving energy efficiency and throughput. This brief presents a reconfigurable SRAM CIM macro supporting multi-mode multiply-and-accumulate (MAC) operations, including binary weight network (BWN) MAC, ternary weight network (TWN) MAC, and multi-bit MAC operations. ?? We encourage you to explore the June 2024 TCAS-II Highlight, “A 14-Bit 4 GS/s Two-Way Interleaved Pipelined ADC With Aperture Error Tunning”. ?? Authored by: Peilin Yang, Fule Li, and Zhihua Wang Volume: 71, Issue: 6, June 2024 This brief presents a 14-bit 4 GS/s time-interleaving ADC design using two interleaved sub-ADCs. The sub-ADC achieves 2 GS/s conversion rate in 28 nm CMOS technology and uses pipelined structure to have high resolution at the same time. ??
