Reflecting on the year gone by...thank you so much Shivam Shivam for interviewing me - I am really honored! Together, we all accomplished so much over the course of the year. And all the amazing experiences have added much perspective and color to my palette. My thoughts are filled with sincere gratitude and humility ?? I am truly inspired by all the #IEEECS volunteers and staff across the globe for their passion and initiative to engage, innovate and wholeheartedly support the evolving world of computing across all the program board areas - standards, publications, conferences, educational initiatives and member activities! ?? NextGen Nexus 2024: Pioneering AI for a Better Tomorrow ?? On October 3-4, 2024, the IEEE Student Branch at NEHU, Shillong, hosted *NextGen Nexus*, an IEEE CS SYP High Impact Zonal Event. With the theme "Artificial Intelligence for a Better Tomorrow," the event united 194 attendees from across the North-East region. Highlights included expert talks on AI, green computing, generative models, hands-on Python programming sessions, poster presentations showcasing AI innovations, and a discussion on scalable architectures. On September 13-14, 2024, the IEEE CS Student Branch at Thiagarajar College of Engineering hosted *TechFusion*—a hybrid event funded by IEEE CS SYP, uniting over 200 participants and 70+ teams! Workshops on Blockchain, AI/ML, and AR/VR, led by industry experts, provided hands-on learning. The ideathon on Day Two brought together students from across the region to propose innovative tech solutions to real-world problems, with awards and recognition for standout ideas.
