Designing four of the official 2030 World Cup venues ? It's official, FIFA has just announced the official host cities for the 2030 World Cup: Morocco, Spain and Portugal, and that the three opening matches will be played in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. ? We are honored to be behind the project for four of them: The?San Mamés stadium, which has been in use for ten years and did not need to be adapted to host the World Cup; the?Spotify Camp Nou, which has undergone a major transformation to accommodate 104,000 spectators and is a candidate to host the final; the?Más Monumental stadium?of the River Plate Athletic Club (Argentina), where we have removed the athletics track to convert it into a soccer-specific stadium, with continuous stands and new seating for 84,500 spectators; and the?New Romareda, the only new stadium in Spain for the 2030 World Cup, with 42,500 seats. ? European Refining Technology Conference (#ERTC2024) Our colleagues?Ander Gorostiaga, MEng, MIChemE, PMP, Business Development Manager at IDOM Oil & Gas, and?Juan Carlos Latasa López, Chief Technology Officer at IDOM Oil & Gas, attended the conference which took place in Lisbon, Portugal from 11th to 14th November. They had the opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities of integrating advanced and circular fuels in the transition to a low carbon future with representatives of the main operators and technology licensors in the sector. ? Juan Carlos Latasa?was invited to present, as part of the technical sessions, our vision for the integration of synthetic fuels units into existing refineries, under an expert vision that combines feasibility and reliability. This vision is based on our vast experience in linear programming models of processes and configurations of hydrocarbon plants, with a realistic perspective in which the reduction of the carbon footprint must be part of a viable operation that provides positive results both technically and financially. ? ERTC?is Europe's largest event for players in the refining and petrochemicals sector. Esta visión se basa en nuestra alta experiencia en modelos de programación lineal de procesos y configuraciones de instalaciones de hidrocarburos, con una perspectiva realista donde la reducción de la huella de carbono debe ser parte de una operación viable que proporcione resultados positivos tanto técnicos como financieros. ERTC?es el evento más grande de Europa para los actores del sector de refino y petroquímica. Este a?o la conferencia se centró en discutir los problemas a corto, mediano y largo plazo que afectan a la industria downstream en la transición energética.

IDOM is proud to have been part of the “Test Talks” hosted by the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult during WindEnergy Hamburg 2024. It was an excellent opportunity to share our vision of wind energy testing technologies and to be part of the presentation of ORE Catapult new 150m blade testing facility whose design and construction is being led by IDOM. This exciting project will support the next generation of wind turbine blades. At IDOM, we are proud to collaborate with ORE Catapult in advancing offshore wind technology and in reaffirming the importance of continuous innovation in the sector.
