During a visit to our London studio, David Kelley, Founder of IDEO, shared some heartfelt reflections on what IDEO and a career in #HumanCenteredDesign means to him. He spoke about the incredible fortune of finding a profession that not only looks good but feels good too. ?? "So many of them have had a life that looked good to society but felt bad…I just have enjoyed my career so much. And I think it’s because of that human-centeredness of it….the visceral feel of helping people,” David shared. Here's to many more moments of inspiration and innovation at IDEO! ??

At IDEO, we live at the crossroads of #HumanCenteredDesign and emerging technology. The Cambridge Science Festival was a wonderful?opportunity for us to display our expertise. Jenna Fizel and Tiange Wang spoke about IDEO's work experimenting with and commercializing emerging technologies such as #AI, #XR, and #robotics; our custom GPT even?used real-time voice synthesis to become a panelist itself! ?? Additionally, Tiange exhibited two different installations: ??a mirror that shows you alternative selves, and??? desserts made out of climate data. And as?part of Boston Fashion Week, Ziyuan(Zoey) Zhu,?Ceci Gomez and Jenna also showed off?our ‘traveling pants’???, a meditation on how we perceive an object’s history and personality, and how such perceptions are altered by adding an AI-infused ability to embed shared histories directly onto your jeans. The best way to teach students to write? Copious, personalized feedback. But for #teachers whose classrooms and administrative work are always growing, it can feel impossible. ??????
