?? EWC is announcing the release of a new RFC dedicated to Document Signing ?? with the EU Digital Identity Wallet. This Specification defines the procedures for using the EUDI wallet to digitally sign a document, using Long-Term certificates, on a Remote Signing Service Provider (SSP). It uses the user's PID to identify the user's Certificates. The Signer's Private Keys are stored safely in a Remote Qualified Electronic Signature (RQES) service. Remote QES services shall adhere to?Cloud Signature Consortium?specifications, according to the Implementing Acts. This work is part of dedicated task for electronic signatures and seals under WP4, led by Intesi Group and Validated ID. ?? What are EWC RFCs?? RFCs (Request for Comments) are specifications that take an opinionated stand on the standards and protocols that apply for wallet providers, issuers, and verifiers to ensure they are technically compliant and interoperable across various implementations at scale via the Interoperability Test Bed (ITB). ? ?? Why do RFCs Matter? By taking an opinionated stand towards key protocols needed for a successful Large-Scale Pilot (LSP), the EWC RFCs effectively ensure interoperability at scale, enabling digital wallets to function seamlessly across borders and organisations. This collaborative framework keeps wallet providers, issuers, and relying parties aligned with EU Digital Identity standards, paving the way for a more connected and trusted digital future. ? Call to Action: All EU Digital Wallet Consortium (EWC) partners – Wallet Providers, Issuers, Verifiers – start implementing now ?
