Our Vision is to innovate new ideas for designing buildings that will help to blaze a path for the building industry toward building better, deep green, zero carbon buildings that can provide high performance, healthy, and comfortable built environments without damaging our natural environment. David Kaneda founded IDeAs Consulting with the goal of providing a platform for doing cutting edge, industry leading, innovative electrical engineering for buildings in an industry that traditionally values tried and true methods, low risk and conservative designs. IDeAs Consulting is a collaborative team focused on deep green electrical engineering for the building industry. The firm was founded in June of 1999, just as the sustainable building movement took off, and our team has consistently advocated for, designed and been thought leaders in this field. Building types that we have significant experience designing include commercial offices, civic buildings, educational facilities and multifamily residential projects. Our work includes experience developing concepts and designing the electrical systems for many of the breakthrough sustainable buildings in the United States, and our team has decades of experience working side by side with our collaboration partners. Our partners comprise many of the most innovative engineers we have worked with over the years. They are nationally recognized leaders in their specialties, and we can work as individual teams or form a single team under one contract if preferable.
