It was a pleasure engaging with local 2nd and 3rd graders about the mining industry and Idaho’s history as a premier minerals producer. #IdahoStrategic #WeLiveHere
On Friday, the Education Committee had the opportunity to visit Summit Christian Academy in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. We shared our passion for mining with second and third-graders, engaging both students and parents through five interactive stations. Topics included hard rock mining, environmental remediation, flotation, placer mining, and core drilling. The small group format fostered excellent discussions, and many students expressed their interest in becoming miners – we love hearing that! Thank you so much to the wonderful teachers at Summit Christian Academy, the parent volunteers, and, of course, our amazing committee volunteers!! We’re super excited to announce the close of our $100M Series C, led by DCVC! This investment comes on the heels of our passive cooldown demonstration, a critical milestone test of a full-scale, non-fueled reactor, and brings the company’s total venture funding to $160 million. The funds will primarily be used to complete our Kaleidos Development Unit (KDU), which we will fuel and operate at Idaho National Laboratory's Demonstration of Microreactor Experiments facility. The KDU is the same reactor design that will be mass manufactured and sold to customers.
