Idaho Optometric Physicians

I had a busy few days traveling this week. Started off by going to Bloomington, IN for the Indiana Optometric Association meeting. Not only did I get to go to one of my favorite places, but I got to see some old friends and classmates from Indiana University School of Optometry (Elli Kollbaum, OD, FAAO , Scott Bixler and andrew burkart, OD and Jeff Perotti, M.S., O.D. ). From Indiana I went to Coeur D’Alene, ID for the Idaho Optometric Physicians meeting. Beautiful setting and even got to go on a hike and see a few old friends there. Best part of it all was that with Idaho, I have now been to all 50 states! Oddly, I went from my first state ever, I was born in Indiana, directly to my last state (Idaho). Who else has been to all 50 states??

During a meaningful and productive meeting at the Great Western Council of Optometry (GWCO), the AOA Board of Trustees was able to provide some updates on all that AOA’s advocates are doing to fight for the profession. During the meeting, AOA met with leaders from the Alaska Optometric Assn, Arizona Optometric Association, Association of Armed Forces and Federal?Optometric?Services, California Optometric Association, Colorado Optometric Association, Hawaii Optometric Association, Idaho Optometric Physicians, Nevada Optometric Association, NEW MEXICO OPTOMETRIC ASSOCIATION INC, Optometric Physicians of Washington, Oregon Optometric Physicians Association, Utah Optometric Assn and WYOMING OPTOMETRIC ASSOCIATION addressing important strategies and insights to help plan the future for optometry’s advancement across the country.
