In 2024, ITA volunteers put in nearly 12,000 hours to clear and maintain 332 miles of public trails across the state. With recent cuts to Forest Service resources, their work is more important than ever—ensuring that Idahoans and visitors alike can continue to explore and enjoy our public lands. Without ITA, many of these trails would disappear under brush, fallen trees, and erosion. But thanks to their dedication, Idaho’s outdoor spaces remain open for adventure. ?? #HighFiveFriday to YWCA Lewiston-Clarkston for being a lifeline to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in north-central Idaho. In 2023 alone, they provided 5,841 safe bed nights, answered 3,042 crisis calls, and helped 310 survivors find safety and support. Without their shelter, advocacy, and crisis services, too many would be forced to choose between staying in danger or leaving with nowhere to go.
