A new US Government Accountability Office report highlights dozens of areas across government where taxpayer dollars are at risk due to improper payments, security gaps, and inefficiencies in service delivery. As fraud tactics become more sophisticated, government agencies face a dual challenge: protecting taxpayer dollars from fraud while keeping services accessible to those who need them.
