Icosa builds quantum computing and physics enhanced optimizers for financial institutions.
关于我们
At Icosa Computing, we build end-to-end products that increase the execution capability of decision-makers in finance. Our software is deployable on quantum and physics enhanced hardware to solve large combinatorial optimization problems, unsolvable with conventional methods. Our products are used by financial institutions to tackle use-cases such as portfolio optimization, index tracking, pairs trading, and currency arbitrage. We are supported by Duality, partnering with University of Chicago, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Chicago Quantum Exchange, Argonne National Laboratory, P33 Chicago and QED-C.

Icosa Computing has just released its first academic paper in collaboration with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, USRA , and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. ?? ???? ? Their research highlights a significant advancement in Large Language Models (LLMs). While it's well-known that the choice of prompting techniques can greatly impact LLM performance across various tasks, the most effective techniques typically require human-crafted prompts tailored to specific tasks. ?? Introducing Combinatorial Reasoning (CR): Icosa Computing's innovative framework for fully-automated prompting. CR samples reasons from an LLM pipeline and transforms them into a Quadratic Unconstrained Binary Optimization (QUBO) problem, optimizing prompt selection and enhancing performance without the need for manual intervention. PS. I included the figure below because it's cool. ?? For more details, please find Mert Esencan or the Icosa Computing team. ?? ?? https://lnkd.in/dgD2krA6 #CombinatorialReasoning #LLM #IcosaComputing

Can Generative AI systems reason? In collaboration with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, USRA and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, we just released our first academic paper at Icosa Computing to answer that question. Here we describe Combinatorial Reasoning, an optimization pipeline to investigate and improve how Large Language Models (LLMs) do reasoning tasks. Special thanks to Davide Venturelli, Aaron Lott, Ata Akbari Asanjan, and Masoud Mohseni.

Large Language Models (LLMs), like ChatGPT, cannot do reasoning like humans. At Icosa Computing, we created Combinatorial Reasoning: Inducing Human-Like reasoning in LLM pipelines with Combinatorial Optimization. Presented for the first time at the International Workshop on Ising Machines in Messina. Check out our whitepaper with Fujitsu at our website:?https://lnkd.in/dqM62nSS

As the article mentions my conversation with Lisa Rooth from SCALINQ, I think being in conversation with startups facing similar challenges is necessary for an early stage company - this might even more important than investors, advisors, etc. That's why programs like Duality Accelerator are crucial.
This year, the sixth annual Chicago Quantum Summit gathered members of the national and international ecosystem—including prominent voices like Stephanie Simmons, the Founder and Chief Quantum Officer of Photonic Inc.; Arvind Krishna, the CEO of IBM; Geri Richmond, the Under Secretary for Science and Innovation at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE); and Laurie Locascio the Director of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)—to discuss the future of quantum and facilitate connections among leaders from all areas of QISE. This year, a record-breaking 220 participants attended in person and more than 400 participants from 36 countries attended virtually to hear a variety of panels and topics ranging from the importance of ecosystems for startups, the success of public networking nodes, and the need for cooperation amongst all facets of the #quantum sector.
