This workshop was a precursor for a broader community discussion and participation in imagining a research communication environment centred around open and collaborative practices. RoRI's Moumita Koley, PhD and James Wilsdon spoke about advancing Open Research through Metascience at the latest public meeting by Incentivizing Collaborative and Open Research (ICOR). ?? Moumita Koley (DST - Centre for Policy Research, Indian Institute of Science, RorI Research Fellow) presented on how metascience is shaping research assessment in India, addressing the challenges posed by traditional metrics and sharing case studies from the health and higher education sectors. ?? James Wilsdon (RoRI Executive Director) highlighted the importance of open science and the global evolution of the metascience community. He also gave us a glimpse into the upcoming UK Metascience Unit and invited everyone to join the movement at Metascience 2025 conference in London.
