Is your company in the natural gas production or natural gas gathering and boosting industry? You may be able to slash reported methane emissions by orders of magnitude for stationary combustion in 2024 and save??on the EPA's Waste Emissions Charge. Our case study shows how a shift in methodology can make a huge financial impact. In this case, the difference in methodology results in an almost $500,000 savings on the WEC! Keep in mind, the fuel must meet requirements listed below. Natural gas that is not pipeline quality must have: 1?? a HHV between 950 and 1,100 Btu/scf 2?? a minimum CH? content of 70% by volume In addition, to comply with Tier 2 of Subpart C (the optional calculation method for 2024), you must have semi-annual fuel gas HHV samples.
