The past two weeks at LXI have been nothing short of amazing! We’ve had the privilege of working with some of the kindest, most driven students, and it’s been such a joy to see their excitement for learning. What’s made this experience even more special is how thoughtful the students have been, taking the time to play with our owner's daughter and making sure she had just as much fun as everyone else. Their kindness and teamwork truly embody the spirit of iCode Tri-Cities! ?? Over the past two weeks, we’ve also started our journey into DaVinci Resolve, introducing students to the basics of video editing. They’ve been learning how to import media, begin editing, and explore their creativity through this powerful tool. We can’t wait to see how their skills continue to grow as they tackle even more advanced topics. We started tech club at LXI @movelxi in downtown Johnson City this Friday and we have to say - it was one of our most memorable times in the history of iCode Tri-Cities. This organization that serves the inner city youth is so full of shine ?it’s contagious!! Incredible students, incredible staff. What you guys are doing is the cream of the crop of some of the best work in the world and we’re so thankful to be even a small part. Now if only we got a group photo! Exciting Updates from White Belt at iCode Tri-Cities! ?? Our young innovators are thriving in our White Belt Program that takes place every Thursday in Kingsport at Hilton Horizon Academy @hiltonhorizonsacademy. They’ve been diving into robotics with hands-on challenges, creativity, and teamwork, and we couldn’t be prouder. Tug of War Challenge ?? Students recently competed in a robotics Tug of War, designing and refining their bots to win. It was an exciting way to build problem-solving and collaboration skills while having so much fun! Exploring Sensors & Automation ??? From programming robots to respond to colors to exploring how sensors power automation, our learners are discovering the real-world applications of robotics and technology. Why Robotics? ?? This week, our White Belt students at Hilton Horizon Academy @had so much fun exploring the world of TinkerCad, a 3D modeling program that helps bring their ideas to life. ?? We started off with some easy tutorials to get familiar with the basics, and then the real fun began, designing their very own mugs using simple shapes. The kids let their creativity shine, coming up with unique and clever designs that were truly impressive. It’s always amazing to see how quickly they learn and how much fun they have in the process. This is such an amazing opportunity to connect with their incredible students and bring some fun and creativity into their afternoons. In this program, we’ll be diving into graphic design, teaching students how to use tech to create beautiful and unique designs. We can’t wait to see their imaginations take off as they learn new skills and explore their creative sides.
