Welcome Kristi Kimball to the ICLEI USA team as the Director of Strategy and Investment Fund! In this role, Kristi will support the organization’s growth, development, partnerships, and impact nationwide. She will oversee the Municipal Investment Fund, which allocates $60 million to local governments, Tribes, and their not-for-profit partners to speed up clean energy projects across 104 communities in the country. Our new development team will focus on expanding ICLEI USA’s regranting program to assist hundreds of communities in building capacity and accelerating their climate mitigation and resilience efforts during this critical decade for climate action. Welcome Jessica Grannis as ICLEI USA's new Director of Programs! In this role, Jess oversees the execution of ICLEI USA’s support for local governments as they navigate our five Pathways: zero emissions, resilience, equity, nature-based solutions, and circular economy. She served as a senior advisor to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), supporting execution of Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law programs. Previously, she oversaw the National Coastal Resilience Fund at the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and held roles as interim vice president for coastal conservation and director of coastal resilience at the National Audubon Society. She directed the adaptation program for the Georgetown Climate Center for over ten years and began her work on resilience as staff counsel for the California State Coastal Conservancy and the Ocean Protection Council. She also served on the American Society of Adaptation Professionals Board of Directors. Jess holds an LLM from Georgetown University Law Center, a JD from the UC San Francisco College of the Law, and a BA from the University of Chicago.
