WORKPLACE SAFETY: On this day in 1911, 146 workers—mostly young immigrant women— were killed in the infamous Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. Their tragedy sparked a movement for safer working conditions and helped build the foundation of the labor movement. We carry on the fight to this day.

Last month, the National Training Committee conducted an in-person two-day 1st Assistant Training in New York. The program covered everything from hands-on practice pulling focus to effectively communicating and collaborating with the crew. On March 8, the Massachusetts Production Coalition (MPC) held their annual Boston Camera Bootcamp, which was led by Local 600 instructors.
