Advancing the Business Events Industry Advocacy on the Global Stage ICCA represented the business events sector at the UN Tourism Executive Council meeting in Cartagena, Colombia. The 63rd ICCA Congress model and the importance of business events was presented amongst 35 Tourism Ministers from all continents. ICCA CEO, Senthil Gopinath, led critical conversations along with Diana Rodriguez, CMP ICCA Board Member and Andrés Escandón ICCA Regional Director Latin America & Caribbean on the intersection of business events. In a gathering of tourism leaders shaping the future of travel, ICCA reiterated the vital role business events play in fostering socioeconomic growth, innovation, and international collaboration. Business events are catalysts for knowledge exchange, investment attraction, and community development. ICCA is proud to advocate for the sector’s recognition in the global tourism agenda, emphasizing the transformative power of meetings, conferences, and exhibitions is recognized at the highest level.
