?? Do you live with heart disease or are you at risk of developing it? ?Take part in the #iCARE4CVD survey and help advance personalised care in cardiovascular disease! ?? Heart disease affects millions, but treatments don’t work the same for everyone. That’s why #personalisedcare is so important. ?? Digital tools—like health apps and wearables—can be game-changers! They help people track their health, adhere to treatments, and build healthy habits. But to really work, they need to be useful, trustworthy, and easy to use. ?? The INSPIRE-eHealth survey is exploring how to design effective digital health tools that people will actually use in the long term. This survey is part of the iCARE4CVD project and led by our partner organisation Deutsche Stiftung für chronisch Kranke. ?? More info & survey link ?? https://lnkd.in/d_M2QwMk ?? Take the survey online or fill it out in person at St Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. ? Time: ~20 minutes ?? Study period: February 2025 - April 2025 ?This survey will soon be available in Dutch and German Dr. Bianca Steiner, Dr. Bettina Zippel-Schultz ?

We’re proud to share a major milestone for #iCARE4CVD—our Patient Advisory Board (PAB) has just held its first meeting! ?? With six members from five countries, the PAB brings together individuals with lived experience of cardiovascular disease or extensive experience in patient advocacy. More than just an advisory group, our PAB will be a key partner in shaping the direction and impact of iCARE4CVD research. In this first session, we: ? Introduced iCARE4CVD and its goals ? Engaged in insightful discussions on the challenges of personalised medicine, treatment adherence, and reaching underrepresented patients ? Agreed on roles, responsibilities, and ways of working moving forward A big thank you to our incredible PAB members for joining us on this journey and contributing to iCARE4CVD and the future of cardiovascular care: Aist? ?tarait? Congratulations to our teams at Deutsche Stiftung für chronisch Kranke (FCI) and University College Dublin for successfully hosting the first in-person meeting with patients living with cardiovascular disease! ?? Over the next 3.5 years, FCI will coordinate the involvement of 4 Patient Panels from 4 different countries to engage them in a variety of project activities. Co-creating with these Patient Panels will be key to ensuring the project’s outcomes remain patient-centric.?? At yesterday's meeting, our Irish Panel offered invaluable insights through questionnaires, covering topics such as barriers to long-term health app usage, medication adherence, preferences for data entry and sharing, views on wearable health technology, and preferred methods of receiving health information.???? We look forward to the outcomes of this collaboration! #cardiovasculardisease #patientengagement #icare4cvd
With the first kick-off meeting in Dublin, we're thrilled to announce the official launch of the iCARE4CVD Patient Panels. For the next 3.5 years, the members of the four Patient Panels will be playing an integral role in shaping the outcomes of the project by contributing to various key activities within iCARE4CVD. For their first task, participants completed four short questionnaires on barriers to long-term use of health apps and regular medication intake, preferences for data entry and sharing in digital health tools, views on wearable digital health technologies, and preferences for receiving health information. It's been an excellent start to their important contributions, and we look forward to learning more from their ongoing work. Here's to a promising start and a journey together! #iCARE4CVD #PatientPartizipation #CoCreation #CardiovascularDisease #KickOff

Earlier this week, our Industry Lead, Nicholas Ciccone, was invited to participate in the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) workshop on Real-World Data, Digital Health, and Artificial Intelligence at the European Commission in Brussels. At this event, health authorities, industry representatives, and policymakers came together to discuss current collaborations and identify opportunities for future research that can meet Europe’s public health needs through digital innovation. ?? There, we had the opportunity to present iCARE4CVD's mission and progress, showcasing how this collaboration among leading experts from diverse fields and industries is pushing the boundaries of traditional research to transform cardiovascular disease prevention and treatment. ???? Special thanks to IHI and the European Commission for providing this platform to showcase our work, exchange insights and engage with key opinion leaders. We’re excited to see how these discussions will drive further innovation in healthcare! ????? ?

?? How can #digitalhealth services improve heart failure care? We’re excited to announce iCARE4CVD’s first paper: "Patient-Reported Experience Measures to Evaluate Digitally Supported Care Processes for Heart Failure: A Scoping Review"! ?? A key focus of the #iCARE4CVD project is understanding how cardiovascular patients experience their care. ?? In a collaboration between Deutsche Stiftung für chronisch Kranke, Uniklinik RWTH Aachen, and Bayer, our team explored how Patient-Reported Experience Measures (PREMs) are applied in #healthcare, especially in digital services for managing chronic conditions like #heartfailure. ?? This scoping review highlight how patient feedback can drive more effective, patient-centered digital health solutions, and provides valuable insights into addressing the gaps in the standardisation of #PREMs. Interested in learning more? ???
