Many of our ICAN employees are celebrating Ramadan! Each year, Hawa Juma – a Behavior Specialist for Utica City School District System of Care – sends an email out to all of our locations and programs to share information on Ramadan and give tips on how we can support our team members, clients and students who are celebrating. It is so helpful and appreciated! We connected with Hawa this week to create a more permanent resource to live on our website for anyone at ICAN. Check it out! https://lnkd.in/gcD_-A3k

At our IPA, we're dedicated to helping our providers thrive. We offer monthly training and orientation sessions to keep everyone on the same page, from best practices to regulatory compliance and HIPAA. Whether you're new or a seasoned pro, our sessions are designed to streamline processes and foster collaboration. At our latest session, our CEO/Executive Director, Steven Bulger shared what it means to be part of the ICAN family and how IPA Providers are essential to Keeping Families Together! These sessions equip providers with the tools and connections needed for excellence - Its also a nice opportunity to meet the ICAN employees they will be working closely with. One of the most important parts of mentoring is building trust and consistency. Mentors can be THE person for a child who needs help through a particular challenge. Jessica Medicis, a Student Engagement Specialist in our Utica City School District System of Care, shares a story of how she, a student’s father and the school worked as a team to help the student overcome fear of home-to-school transition. The success of them working together made mornings easier and less stressful for the WHOLE family! READ MORE HERE: https://lnkd.in/gFbRskk9

Our CEO/Executive Director Steve Bulger had the honor of being invited to Albany to attend Governor Hochul’s 2025 State of the State address.?Governor Hochul said that in 2025 she is committed to fighting for families. At ICAN we know how important it is to fight for all families, not just the clients we serve. We look forward to continuing this work into the new year!
I was honored to be invited to Albany for Governor Hochul’s 2025 State of the State address. There were a number of ambitious goals laid out but the way her address started and ended is exactly what we all need in 2025 and beyond. No matter what side of the aisle or what may be perceived to divide us, this one simple piece is what unifies us: family. While the Governor doubled down that she will fight for families, we all must do the same. Fight for your individual family, fight for the families of those you employ, fight for the families of those you serve, fight for the families in your community. As the new year is already well underway, if we strengthen family at all levels, we will all be better as a result.
