Meet James Ignatowich, a former collegiate tennis player at Vanderbilt University who transitioned to pickleball and turned pro in 2022. In February 2023, he won his first two Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour titles at the Indoor National Championships in men’s pro singles and mixed pro doubles. Select safety information: Serious side effects may include increased risk of cardiovascular and gastrointestinal (GI) events. NSAIDs can raise the risk of heart attack, stroke, gastrointestinal bleeding, ulceration, and perforation of the stomach and intestines, which can be fatal. The risk for serious cardiovascular events may occur early in treatment and may increase with duration of use.?Elderly patients and those with a history of peptic ulcer disease or GI bleeding are at higher risk for serious GI events. IBSA is committed to supporting patients with thyroid disease – and that includes athletes like professional golfer Aza Mu?oz. Tirosint-SOL is the only FDA-approved hypothyroidism medication that can be taken just fifteen minutes before breakfast. This means that Aza can spend less time waiting and more time perfecting her game. ?? To learn more: https://tirosintsol.com/ Tirosint-SOL (levothyroxine sodium oral solution) is L-thyroxine (T4) and indicated for use in adults and pediatric patients, including neonates, with congenital or acquired hypothyroidism. Tirosint-SOL can also be used for Pituitary Thyrotropin (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)) Suppression. Thyroid hormones, including Tirosint-SOL, should not be used for the treatment of obesity or for weight loss. Doses beyond the range of daily hormonal requirements may produce serious or even life-threatening manifestations of toxicity. Tirosint-SOL is not indicated for suppression of benign thyroid nodules and nontoxic diffuse goiter in iodine-sufficient patients, or for the treatment of transient hypothyroidism during the recovery phase of subacute thyroiditis. Tirosint-SOL is contraindicated in patients with uncorrected adrenal insufficiency or in patients who have a hypersensitivity to glycerol. For elderly patients and those with underlying cardiovascular conditions, starting with a lower dose is recommended due to the heightened risk of cardiac adverse reactions, including atrial fibrillation. Oral thyroid hormone drugs should not be used to treat myxedema coma, and replacement glucocorticoids are necessary for patients with concomitant adrenal insufficiency before initiating Tirosint-SOL. To prevent hyperthyroidism or for the incomplete treatment of hypothyroidism, proper dose titration and careful monitoring are essential. Diabetic patients should carefully monitor glycemic control after starting, changing, or discontinuing thyroid hormone therapy since glycemic control may worsen in diabetic patients. Decreased bone mineral density associated with thyroid hormone over-replacement may occur. Adverse reactions associated with Tirosint-SOL primarily reflect symptoms of hyperthyroidism due to overdosage including: arrhythmias, heart attack, dyspnea, muscle spasm, headache, nervousness, irritability, insomnia, tremors, muscle weakness, increased appetite, weight loss, diarrhea, heat intolerance, menstrual irregularities, and skin rash. Patients should ask their doctor if Tirosint-SOL is right for them.
