Amid the many observances in November, one occasion Ibis Insights is proud to spotlight is Transgender Awareness Week. ??????? ? This week, and throughout the month, we at Ibis honor the invaluable contributions, creativity, and leadership of transgender individuals across all fields and communities. Transgender people worldwide continue to push boundaries, dismantle outdated norms, and lead with courage and authenticity, often against significant odds. ? At Ibis, we are committed to fostering spaces where every identity is seen, respected, and celebrated — spaces that go beyond acceptance to actively uplift and empower. ???? ? Together, let’s elevate transgender voices and experiences by actively supporting policies and practices that champion inclusion, learning from transgender-led organizations, and creating intentional spaces for dialogue and education. Whether through allyship in our workplaces, mentorship, or policy advocacy, each of us has the power to contribute to a more inclusive world. ?? ? #TransAwarenessWeek #TransgenderAwarenessWeek #TransAwarenessMonth #TransgenderAwarenessMonth #TransVisibility #InclusionMatters #DEI #AuthenticLiving #LGBTQSupport #TransRights #InclusiveWorkplace

In moments of political and cultural shifts, the path forward can feel uncertain. For nearly 40 years, Ibis has partnered with organizations around the world, empowering teams with tools and strategies to build healthy, inclusive cultures that stand the test of time. Here’s what remains constant: 1. Creating environments where everyone can succeed is essential. Regardless of the political landscape, organizations will always need support in attracting, engaging, developing, and retaining top talent. This remains a critical priority for sustained growth and success. 2. Human-centric leadership is non-negotiable in today’s global workplace. Leading with empathy and making fair, unbiased decisions in areas such as hiring, career development, and performance management are vital for building resilient, collaborative teams. 3. An ‘us vs. them’ mentality creates division and stifles collaboration. To foster a true sense of belonging, it’s important to approach differing viewpoints with respect, rather than be preachy or condescending. Organizations that embrace a wide range of perspectives unlock innovation, build stronger teams, and lay the foundation for lasting success. As we face new challenges, we at Ibis remain committed to this mission with unwavering optimism and care for our shared humanity. If today’s headlines have left you feeling disheartened, please remember that leadership is the key to progress, and together, we’ll keep moving forward.

As we continue to celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month, Ibis reflects on the strides made toward creating more inclusive workplaces. Earlier this year, we had the privilege of speaking with @Bruce Howell, Digital Accessibility Advisor and Board Member at the @Carroll Center for the Blind. Bruce shared valuable insights on the importance of designing digital content with accessibility in mind and highlighted the broad benefits these features provide to individuals with disabilities across the U.S. During the interview, Bruce emphasized that making accessibility a priority not only supports people with disabilities but also improves the overall user experience for everyone. For the final day of Hispanic Heritage Month, we would like to reflect on the incredible and vulnerable stories shared by our colleagues throughout this series. From family legacies to self-pride to cultural preservation, their stories serve as a reminder that heritage is a cornerstone of our respective identities. Though Hispanic Heritage Month may be ending, our celebration of Hispanic culture and contributions continue everyday as we carry forward the values that define this community.

Ibis would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that Indigenous People's Day is both a moment for reflection and celebration. While we honor the historical challenges Indigenous communities have faced, we also celebrate their remarkable contributions to society. On *this* day of remembrance, let’s come together to acknowledge the resilience and strength Indigenous peoples have demonstrated across generations and to celebrate the profound cultural influence Indigenous Peoples have shown across millennia – an impact that continues to shape our world today. We hope this day brings moments of reflection and meaningful acknowledgment of Indigenous communities and their lasting contributions. #IndigenousPeoplesDay

In celebration of World Mental Health Day, Ibis extends warm wishes to everyone, emphasizing the importance of self-care and wellness. This year has been marked by challenges that have brought stress, grief, and uncertainty, all of which can deeply affect our mental health. During difficult times, it's crucial that we acknowledge the significance of mental well-being, not only as individuals but as a collective, compassionate community. Taking care of our mental health is an act of resilience and self-respect that empowers us to navigate life's challenges. We encourage you to use this day to pause, reflect, and connect—whether by seeking support, practicing mindfulness, or showing kindness to yourself and others. Remember, mental health is health, and your well-being is invaluable.

As 朱碧爱 Choo Phaik Ai put so eloquently, “this research is a testament of Ibis' global commitment in co-creating solutions that not only work at the theory level, but actually taking into account the voices of leaders on the ground like you.” Phaik Ai, Ibis is so grateful to have you on board as one of our consultants and for amplifying our call for leaders to participate in our Inclusive Leadership Research Survey. Ibis is also grateful for all the responses we have received regarding our survey thus far, but there is still plenty of time for leaders to continue to interact with the survey and share your insights into the eight critical skills that are associated with Inclusive Leadership. We promise that this survey will take no more than 10 minutes (or less!) of your time, and in the case, you would like to further explain your choices, we have provided forth the opportunity for a 30-minute virtual interview alongside completion of the survey for you to provide us with additional context. Click the link below ahead of Thursday, October 31st to share your insights with us today! https://lnkd.in/edT83-w9
