The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 613 is headquartered in Atlanta, and has a massive jurisdiction spanning 59 counties in two states - Georgia and Alabama. Our Local membership includes men and women who work in the construction and manufacturing industries. Local 613 is the largest IBEW Local located in IBEW Fifth District, which encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Panama Canal, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands. Our Local received its charter on Oct. 25 1919. In years following the Great Depression and World War II, the Local 613 jurisdiction grew throughout Northern Georgia. Throughout the following decades, the amount of work within the jurisdiction varied, but the Local continued to grow. Members of Local 613 have worked on many high-profile construction projects including most of the facilities built for the 1996 Summer Olympics, which were held in Atlanta. Local 613 is the premier electrical workforce provider in north Georgia and parts of Alabama. Our members have worked on jobs such as Mercedes Benz Stadium, Bank of Georgia, Emory University Hospital, Ponce City Market, Plant Bowen and more. After a century of service, our diverse membership has grown to include over 5,000 proud men and women! The mission and goals of IBEW Local 613 are to improve the lives of our members and the communities we work in through representation, training and quality craftsmanship.

This Saturday, June 8th, The Atlanta North Georgia Building Trades a.k.a https://lnkd.in/ef_PqGuA is hosting a multicraft barbecue cook-off in the IBEW 613 parking lot. There will be several teams from different union crafts, including four teams from IBEW 613. Come hang out with us, taste some good ‘cue and enjoy the brotherhood and sisterhood. Competition is judged between 1 PM and 3 PM.

Attention Brothers and Sisters interested in OSHA 30 Certification: The next OSHA Training Class begins next week. Class Dates are: May 20th, 28th, June 3rd, 10th 2024 Class Time will start at 8:00am You must attend all 4 dates to complete the OSHA 30 Training. The cost of the class is $20.00 Cash All attendees must be current on dues and Death Benefits. Dues receipt will be checked on the first day of class.
