International Association For Premenstrual Disorders (IAPMD) believes in the fundamental right for women, trans-men, and non-binary individuals assigned female at birth to receive accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and social support for reproductive mental health and illness. Based on this belief, the mission of IAPMD is to: ? Reduce the stigma and raise awareness of reproductive mood disorders, suicidality, and depression. ? Provide educational opportunities for those unable to obtain primary and mental health care services due to geographical location or financial means. ? Provide global crisis intervention and peer support services at no-cost regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identification, political affiliation, or socioeconomic status. ? Provide individuals with a path to recovery following a diagnosis of mental illness, reproductive mood disorder, suicidal ideation or attempted suicide.

If your symptoms last into your period, can that still indicate PMDD? ?? Yes! Many people with PMDD continue to experience symptoms into the first few days of menstrual bleeding. In fact, according to the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, symptoms can last up to 4 days into the menstrual period. @acog_org There, however, must be a symptom-free ‘gap’ after your period and up to ovulation. We are looking for menstruating individuals from Canada or the US to participate in 6 cycles of daily symptom tracking and a 2-cycle self-help program for premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) or premenstrual exacerbation of major depressive disorder (PME-MDD). Your participation would involve a total of approximately 14 hours, which includes a 2-hour Zoom call and 6 months of daily and weekly surveys. If you are over the age of 18, have or suspect to have PMDD or PME-MDD, have regular menstrual cycles, are not taking oral contraceptives, and live in Canada or the US, you may be eligible to participate!
