Big congratulations to Pittsburgh Scholar House for securing $2.5 million in funding for Downtown affordable housing. It’s an honor to support you as you continue to uplift and transform our community!
Pittsburgh Scholar House has secured $2.5 million in grants from the Henry L. Hillman Family Foundations and Richard King Mellon Foundation to develop 94 affordable housing units at 120 Cecil Way in Downtown Pittsburgh. In partnership with Beacon Communities, this project will convert a historic steam plant into housing, with 47 units dedicated to PSH Scholars and their families. This development is a significant step toward providing stable housing for single parents pursuing post-secondary education, while also revitalizing the city. “We are incredibly grateful for this generous support,” said Dr. Diamonte Walker, CEO of PSH.
