This was a pre-conference course offered as part of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC)’s WUI Conference. This is a fantastic event for anyone interested in WUI fire safety and related topics—great collaboration and networking plus outstanding educational content. Thanks to Karl Fippinger, CEM, PMP and the amazing team at International Code Council (with an assist from Hana Herron at Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE)!) we were able to offer students professional development credits for satisfactorily completing the course through ICC’s Preferred Provider program. There’s so much that goes into making education like this possible. Feeling especially appreciative of those who continue to do what they can to share resources and knowledge to advance fire and life safety wherever and whenever they can.

We regret to inform you that the 2025 Executive Fire Officer (EFO) Symposium scheduled for April 25 & 26 has been postponed. While efforts have been made to ensure that the event could proceed without disruption, it has become clear that it is necessary to delay the symposium in order to prevent any last-minute changes that could affect the event's quality and success. We are currently working in collaboration with the National Fire Academy (NFA) to reschedule the symposium for the fall of 2025. We'll reach out with the updated details as soon as possible.
