She also has extensive experience in administrative proceedings and regularly advises clients involved in governmental investigations. Committed to community service, she actively volunteers at legal clinics and handles pro bono cases.

He practices throughout Central Texas, and has earned recognition throughout the state for his advocacy. As a proud, first-generation Iranian American, Kayvon is dedicated to IABA Foundation’s goal of fostering Iranian American law students. Kayvon has served on the board of IABA Foundation since 2024.

Meet Iranian American Bar Association Foundation (IABA Foundation)’s Vice President, Katy Gronowski, who is a certified specialist in Family Law, State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. She practices in Northern California. Katayoun was born in Tehran and is fluent in Farsi/Persian and French. She has held leadership roles both in her local bar association and her local community. She has taught law school classes in family law and community property and has served as a judge pro tem in local courts. She has served on the board of IABA Foundation since 2021 and has immensely enjoyed her time on this vibrant board.

Meet Omid Rahimdel, a second-year law student at Georgetown University Law Center and one of Iranian American Bar Association Foundation (IABA Foundation)’s 2024 scholarship recipients! Growing up in Los Angeles, California, Omid is a first-generation American and first-generation professional. He majored in Iranian Studies during his undergraduate years at UCLA, served as Director of Academic and Professional Outreach for the Iranian Student Group at UCLA, and frequently wrote about Iran for various publications at UCLA. Omid is also the first matriculant to Georgetown Law from Georgetown Law’s Early Outreach Initiative, a program intended to provide students from underserved high schools with an introduction to law school and the legal field.
