  • Lots of Great Webinars, including our own G O A T mentor, Robert Moore on Wednesday! #NAW2024

This week for #NAW2024, COABE is highlighting apprenticeship programs nationwide! Today we are highlighting a program in #Delaware. Sussex Technical High School's Registered Apprenticeship program is dedicated to providing Delaware residents with hands-on training and real-world experience in various skilled trades. By partnering with local businesses and educational institutions, the program is actively creating pathways for high school and adult students to enter the workforce. This initiative ensures students have access to meaningful career opportunities and resources to succeed in their chosen fields. Known as the “Other-Four-Year-Degree”, apprenticeship is a really valuable way to earn while you learn. Sussex Tech even partners with local employers to upskill their employees. Through this employer sponsorship, any Delaware resident who becomes a “state registered apprentice” or non-resident who becomes a “state registered apprentice” and works for a Delaware company can utilize their status to attend apprenticeship classes at Sussex Tech tuition free. This opens doors for those who cannot afford tuition, and launches them into a family-sustaining wage without the burden of large loans to pay back. Sussex Tech works hard to get Americans back to work and upskilled into the jobs and careers our economy needs most. Thank you Sussex Tech for your contributions to your community, and for showing everyone that #Apprenticeships and #AdultEducation matter! Learn more about this program: https://lnkd.in/eNuqxxV4 We also thank Essential Education for their generous sponsorship of the entire week of #NAW2024! #ApprenticeshipsMatter #AdultEd #COABE Sharon Bonney Delaware State University Adult and Continuing Education
