Public infrastructure improvements are underway in the area as part of the much anticipated SomeraRoad Inc. development. The I-Solutions construction crews will maintain access to the building during the open house and there is plenty of available parking. Yesterday was a celebratory day for the City of Kansas City, MO at the groundbreaking event for the historic West Bottoms redevelopment project by SomeraRoad Inc. There is perhaps no other place in the country that offers a more authentic setting to build such a uniquely livable, sustainable, and connected community. As Ian L. Ross noted “This looks like a movie set” This was also a landmark day for our young and growing construction company I-Solutions. We understand the significance of the work ahead and are embracing this opportunity to work with our friends at the City of KCMO, SomeraRoad, and the entire West Bottoms neighborhood.

Today, I-Solutions, in partnership with SomeraRoad, celebrated the groundbreaking of a new development in Kansas City’s historic West Bottoms. This phased project will introduce 168,000 square feet of office space, more than 1,200 residential units,100,000 square feet of retail, a boutique hotel and community gathering spaces. The City of Kansas City, MO has been intentional in recent years about building efficient processes and embracing a culture of sustainability. Today the efforts of KC Water were recognized at the Kansas City Industrial Council (KCIC) 2024 Sustainability Awards hosted in the beautiful Hobbs Event Space in the Historic West Bottoms. The Middle Blue River Area 13 Inflow & Infiltration Project exemplifies the goals of the KCMO Smart Sewer Program to reduce overflows and create a healthy environment.
