I.N.S.P.I.R.E Special Education and Advocacy Services staff, are thoroughly trained in special education law, helps families and school districts work together when designing appropriate special education programs for students with disabilities, who are at risk for school failure, so they can succeed in school, get a job and become productive members of their community. We advocate for students with disabilities to ensure that if they are interested in attending public, private or charter schools, they are able to access and thrive in their assigned schools designed to enable all students to succeed. As a Consultant, I.N.S.P.I.R.E advocates will assist families of children with any learning concerns. Some students have needs that are already identified, whereas other parents will seek advocacy support in helping them identify issues that may be affecting their child’s learning. Sandra Elliott is a Special Education Consultant assisting in training staff, developing legally proficient IEP's and FBA's, guiding progress monitoring efforts, and ensuring students receive an appropriate education. My unique background combines knowledge of special education practices and procedures as well as special education law, allowing me to offer a range of services, including one-on-one consultations, district-wide professional development, IEP/FBA reviews, due process hearing preparation, and on-call support. I pride myself on being informative yet personable, willing to listen to my clients while providing expert, up-to-date advice. In my presentations, I am able convey complex ideas, particularly regarding the intricacies of special education law, through an accessible, user-friendly manner.
