An Ode to Urban Farmers, engaging Gen Z In Mexico City, #urbanagriculture has become a cornerstone not only in the pursuit of food security but also in strengthening the capacity to address social and environmental challenges. This activity reclaims communal spaces for interaction and knowledge sharing. Moreover, it provides fresh and healthy food, plays a crucial role in preserving #biodiversity, and revives processes related to the use and consumption of local plants. The aim of this project is to celebrate the richness of local urban agriculture. It seeks to foster interest and consumption among new generations by engaging them in the ritual of fermentation, highlighting the flavors and benefits of these foods. Inspired by the dedication of urban farmers and the richness of local biodiversity, bespoke ceramic fermenters were designed. Discover the versatility and potential of foods grown in urban gardens, as well as the passion and dedication of the farmers who make this possible.
