At 19, Melanie thought of the idea for Canva in her University bedroom. She set about looking for investors to make her business idea become a reality, but it took 3 years before anybody did. Fast forward to today and Melanie has become the definition of a “disruptor”. Canva is now worth $40 billion and is seriously competing with Photoshop. Pretty incredible progress in just a few years.
