Hyundai Hydrogen - New Zealand

Last month, we showcased the Hydrogen Portable Generator System (PGS) at the Christchurch Innovation Expo alongside Hayden Paddon's KONA EV rally car. Partnering with KiwiFibre and UCM - University of Canterbury Motorsport, we showed attendees how it operates, along with discussing potential applications and benefits of the hydrogen technology. Hyundai Motors New Zealand National Hydrogen Manager, Grant Doull, said the following on the event: "It was great to showcase the PGS alongside the Hyundai KONA EV rally car. This was a real-life application of Hyundai hydrogen technology we used at the Ashley Forest Rallysprint, bringing clean energy where the grid can’t reach- and it was even better to do it at a Hayden rally.”

In another display of Hyundai hydrogen technology, we showcased our Portable Generator System (PGS) at the Korean Smart Forum in Christchurch.? This event was an opportunity to showcase innovative Korean technology to key stakeholders. As a Kiwi owned business with global support, we were proud to represent for NZ and showcase the work we’ve been doing in the hydrogen space. ?At the event, Hyundai Motors New Zealand National Aftersales Manager, Gavin Young, discussed the brand's future technologically and how hydrogen fits in this. Recently, we've had the opportunity to showcase our Hydrogen Portable Generator System at various events and to key groups. One of our demonstrations was with NZDF | Defence Science & Technology (DST), where we explored the potential of the PGS using green hydrogen as a fully renewable, portable energy solution. The hydrogen generator offers a reliable alternative in areas where the grid doesn't reach. Lieutenant Isaac Wade from the NZ Defence Force stated: "Such a device could form a part of a deployable, sustainable system for supporting relief efforts."
